Second Saturday of each month while we are social distancing: January 9, 2021; February 13, 2021, etc. Love Where you Live Day : this Keep Austin Beautiful sponsored event will be done social distancing style. Visit link below for more info and to help celebrate Keep Austin Beautiful’s 35th anniversary by giving back to your Austin:
MLK Day 2021 (January 18 or the Saturday before): You are encouraged to do your own social distanced trash pick up on MLK Day in January or the weekend before. Even just one piece of trash picked up from a public space and put in a trash can counts, and most people find it hard to pick up just one piece.
It’s My Park Day! This Austin Parks Foundation organized event has been delayed to June 2021, June 5th-13th . Volunteer registration opens May 3, 2021. More info at https://austinparks.org/IMPD
Pending: we plan to do at least 2 more volunteer days on the trail, likely in the fall of 2021 for any group events. Check back for more info as it becomes available.
Trail User self-scheduled events: picking up trash along the trail and disposing of it in a trash can, anytime, you decide. Many make picking up trash a regular part of their visits to the trail and we surely do thank you! Notifying us about your volunteer work helps us track volunteer hours which are used to help apply for grants for trail improvements. You can document volunteer hours with us, with Austin Parks Foundation, Keep Austin Beautiful, or the Friends of Copperfield Nature Trails Give Pulse page.
