Copperfield Nature Trails - Trail Workday November 14th

Thank You volunteers!  59 volunteers turned out to make great improvements to the Copperfield Nature Trails!  Volunteers removed invasive ligustrum and Johnson grass and replanted native flowers and shrubs, cleared and widened the Woodlands trail, and created a switch-back up the steep slope at the Byers exits. Another group of volunteers collected litter and weeded the wildflower area at the Blakeney entrance.

A huge thanks to the energetic volunteers from UT and from the HVM Catholic Church. You guys are awesome!  Also, thanks to Keep Austin Beautiful for buffalo sod and to Nam Lee, Jack, and Alice for donating the other plants and shrubs.   See the attachment below for a picture and brief description of some of the plants that were added.
