National Public Lands Day – Volunteers Needed for September 24!

There will be a workday at the trails on September 24, 2016 in celebration of National Public Lands Day. 9 AM to 12 Noon. Stay for all or some.

We’ll meet at the Blakeney Lane pond entrance to the trail at 9 AM, feel free to come a few minutes early to sign in and perhaps meet some of the other volunteers.

This event is sponsored by Friends of Copperfield Nature Trails in partnership with City of Austin Parks Department.
Adults and children accompanied by an adult welcome to participate after signing liability release provided at the work day.

Some of the work will include: Blakeney pond wildflower beds and butterfly bed at park, trail weeding and cleanup. Trash pick-up at park and along trail as needed.
We’ll provide tools and supplies.

Please dress to work!: sturdy closed-toed shoes, pants, long sleeves, and hat recommended. Bring your own sunscreen, water to drink, snacks. Consider bringing plant loppers, if you can! Thanks!
